When the Nintendo Switch was announced, most people assumed it would come with apps such as Netflix and YouTube. These assumptions aren’t in anyway crazy to think of. Nintendo’s previous consoles and handhelds were able to support both. The Wii, WiiU, 3DS, and 2DS all were able to show video as long as there was an internet connection.
However, for the past year and a half, Nintendo had neither of these video streaming apps. Although they promised it, they also promised a lot of other features that were missing at launch, such as the eStore and Voice Communications.
As of yesterday, 11/8/18, YouTube popped up on the Nintendo Switch Marketplace. Gamers are finally able to have more options how they want to watch their favorite YouTubers.
