Tough Defense Leads to Near Knockout

Another reason why the fans love college hoops more than the NBA.

North Central College faced Augustana College last night where Augustana won 76-59.  While North Central was down, that didn’t stop Sophomore guard Blaise Meredith from playing tough defense. In the clip below, he does a full court sprint down to block a layup.  He also almost manages to knock himself out as well.

Luckily for him, he was fine after a few minutes, but they still lost the game.

Maybe he will make ESPN’s “Not Top 10” at least.

New DVD/Blu-Ray Releases For 12/31

Welcome back from the holiday break and into 2019.  With the new year upon us, not too many movies are coming out this week. But as the saying goes, it’s better to have quality than quantity, and this week has some good titles.  With a star filled movie, Bad Times at the El Royale is a good movie to see some big names try roles they typically don’t get.

Below are the 4 titles that you can now own:

Recipe of the Week: Loaded Crack Potatoes

Coming from a woman named Barbi , here is her recipe for addicting potatoes that doesn’t actually contain crack cocaine in it, but does contain hash (browns) in it.

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Combine hash browns, sour cream, bacon, ranch mix, and 1 cup Cheddar cheese in a large bowl; stir until well mixed. Spread into baking pan; cover with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove foil; sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese evenly across potatoes. Bake until cheese is bubble and lightly browned around the edges, about 15 minutes.

How To: Steal An Ambulance

In this time, it is hard to get a vehicle that will draw attention without breaking the bank. This unnamed man in the video below proved the world wrong.

While he was being transported from the Inland Valley Medical Center near the Lake Elsinore area, he somehow managed to escape his restrains.  Even though he was out-numbered, he made the two paramedics leave the vehicle and somehow lost his shirt in the process. Instead of totaling the car, he only lightly smashed it before running into the desert. Police quickly caught up to him and he surrendered peacefully.

He’s just a modern day Houdini it appears.
